The RCIA is a parish program established to prepare adults for the reception of the Sacraments. It is the program for those adults wishing to convert to Catholicism whether they were raised in another faith or no faith at all. It is also for those who were baptized as Catholics, and for some reason or another, did not finish their religious education. Some may need to receive their First Communion, Confirmation or even both. RCIA is also a great opportunity for Catholics who have received all their Sacraments but maybe just wish to ‘brush-up’ or learn more about their faith. The program runs from the beginning of October (the group meets once a week) to the reception of all the Sacraments together at the Easter Vigil Mass – the evening before Easter Sunday.
